In Los Danzantes Oaxaca we are, as far as possible, responsible with the environment and society, mainly through out garder, where we put into practice the concept of zero kilometer food (fresh and organic), we apply criteria of efficiency and productivity, as well as a responsible policy of organic waste, returning to the earth in the form of compost all organic matter that is no longer used.
Art created with waste glass joins this chain of sustainability that we are committed to. For years we have been collaborating with XAQUIXE, a glass blowing workshop made with recycled raw materials and alternative energies. At Los Danzantes Oaxaca we donate the glass bottles we discard, these are washed, crushed and recycled to create glasses, jars, bottles and other products that become authentic works of art.
The ovens of these artisans work thanks to the recycling of burned oil from the kitchens, this is recovered from hotels and restaurants like ours to reuse it as combustion and to be able to give an alternative energy use.
Sustainability in restaurants is how we manage the social and environmental impact of our operations, our commitment is to pay attention to climate change, animal welfare and food waste.
AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO OUR LIFESTYLE
More and more of us are joining the Zero Waste philosophy, a way of life that essentially focuses on reducing as much as possible the amount of waste we generate in order to contribute to the conservation of the environment. In particular, we have almost completely eliminated the use of plastics.
Climate change mitigation occurs through small actions that generate an important impact on the daily lives of all of us who make up this food value chain, a philosophy that we transmit to our collaborators and guests so that the chain continues outside our walls.
